Dalaman's international airport terminal is set to open in 2006. Initial construction on the airport is complete, however, final touches to the airport will be finished by March 2006. The new terminal will be ready for operations by April 2006. Mugla city Tourism Director Erdem Uyanik said on Saturday that the new terminal would bring more tourism to the region and would open the season during the winter period.

General Coordinator of ATM Holding (the construction company behind the project) Hamdi Guvenc said that the terminal's total cost is estimated at around $130 million and have a passenger capacity of 10 million annually. The terminal includes: CIP and VIP buildings, parking lot, ticket selling counters, bank and foreign exchange offices, post office, clinic, baby rooms, child play areas, pharmacy, hotel reservation counters, masjid, chapel and synagogue in the international terminal.
