Train derailed after bomb attack southeast of Turkey

A train derailed in the southeast of Turkey on Tuesday when a bomb that had been earlier planted on the tracks was detonated by remote control, security forces said. This is the third attack on a train within one month, in the predominantly Kurdish troubled southeast. The train was traveling between the eastern towns of Elazig and Mus, made up of five wagons and was carrying passengers and freight when it came off the rails. No one was injured in the attack, officials said.

No one claimed immediate response for the attack, although, officials said it was similar in style to an attack that happened earlier this month on the same stretch of track – six security guards were killed in the incident.
