The new university entrance exam, engineered by the Ministry of National Education and ÖSYM (Centre for University Entrance Exam), is slated to last for 3.5 hours instead of the current 3, and students will have to answer 210 questions, compared to the previous number of 180. The exam will be held on one day, in two sessions. The decision is set to affect two million contenders who will sit the exam next year.

Unlike its predecessor, the exam will cover the whole college curriculum and will consist of two parts. The first part will focus on the first year of the college education and will include 120 questions. The second part, on the other hand, will cover the second and third years of college education and will be more factual.
