Stories that US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had a bitter love affair with an Iranian earlier in her life, accounting for her current feelings of anger towards the Tehran regime, are making the rounds thanks to ISNA News, the Iranian Students' News Agency. According to ISNA, Iranian MP Sukrullah Attarzade maintains that "Rice wants to attack Iran because her heart was broken by a young man from Kazvin. I cannot reveal the name of the person who has told us this fact, but it was another female MP who was questioned."

Kervin is a city about 150 kilometers from Tehran. MP Attarzade has in the past said that the reason German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer supports the Iranian opposition in exile is due to an Iranian lover from the his youth.
