The Iranian people went to the ballot boxes, used their votes, and elected someone. There is nothing left to say. If this is democracy, I guess it means that in democracies, backwardness, anachronicity, and fanaticism can win.

(Democracy is a form of governance for equal people. A form of government for people who are eachothers equals in culture and education...If 80% of the society is ignorant, of course their candidate will win, not the candidate of the 20% who are not ignorant.)

People find leaders who fit their needs. Just as every sheep runs to its herder. If a society is not in search of enlightment...If a society does not want to catch up with civilization, does not want to live like people, does not want to be strong....You can not make it happen. If you make democracy a choice, and then the people of that society go and choose primitivity-fanaticism-religious ignorance...What can you do?

Then later?....
Well, later, the civilized world excludes that society. Individuals from that country get treated like "third class people" no matter where they go in the world. They receive no respect. World opinion is that they need to reform their ways. Babies there open their eyes not to light, but to darkness. The youth are unhappy. The older people live in poverty though their country has some of the richest resources in the world.

On top of everything, societies like this think that others are trying to harm them all the time. They never understand that they are the ones harming themselves, that they themselves have chosen primitivity, anachronistic ways, and religious fanaticism as their way of life.
And so they will be driven on....
And so they will be driven on....
This is the relation that binds sheep to their herders.
