An Airbus A330 carrying 255 passengers on a flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong was forced to land on Monday due to the actions of a drunken and aggressive Turkish passenger. 40 year old Ahmet Pesenoglu was seen by other passengers drinking several beers in the airport prior to his flight, though nothing adverse occured until, when on the flight, he began listening to music at an extremely loud volume on his headphones. Refusing to turn down his music, despite the complaints of other passengers, Pesenoglu became angry when a hostess came to warn him.
When he pushed the hostess to the ground, the passengers around Pesenoglu surrounded him and brought him to a harmless state, but by then, the pilot had already gone into emergency mode. The plane landed at the southern Japanese Fukuoka Airport, where police took Pesenoglu into custody. No one was reported hurt in the incident. |
