Zebari also noted that the assistance of the UN in the preparation process of the Iraqi constitution was positive and that Iraq would cooperate with the UN during the process. He added, "Saddam Hussein will be tried justly,"
The new Iraqi foreign minister also stressed that the Iraqi government was established according to the results of elections, not ethical or political quota and that although the role of Iraq's neighbors are important in the unity of the country, the real element is the Iraqi people themselves. Zebari added that Iraq takes the sensitivities of Turkish people into consideration.
