The decree also allows US forces to use the Iskenderun Harbour. It is reported that non-lethal military equipment which cannot be transported by cargo planes will be brought to the Iskenderun Harbour by vessels. The equipment will then be transported to Incirlik.
US and UK forces in Iraq and Afghanistan will be using Incirlik as rotation point. Forces will only be allowed into the base with a light rifle - weapons of lethal nature will not be admitted.
The maximum period of time during which soldiers can inhabit the base is also restricted to three to five days. In the meantime, they will not be
allowed to leave the base. Permission for block flights will be organised according to mutually convenient days and routes.
