In his speech yesterday at Istanbul's Military Academy, General Ozkok referred to the last week's incident at a Greek Military Academy, when a desecrated Turkish flag was placed in the quarters of visiting Turkish soldiers.
"We await an official apology from Greece," said Ozkok, who said also that if no apology is forthcoming, the Turkish side will have to re-evaluate its exchange program with the Greek side. Cyprus's continuining importance Ozkok spoke also on the issue of Cyprus, saying "Some groups are saying that Cyprus has no strategic importance left to it.
