A scheduled meeting that was due to take place in Istanbul on April 19, between Iraq's neighboring countries has been postponed for short time, not cancelled, said Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan, Tuesday. Speaking to the press Tan said that the meeting had been postponed because the formation of the new Iraq government has not been concluded yet.

Tan said that all countries concerned had been notified of the postponement, adding that the eighth meeting of Iraq's neighboring countries will constitute an important opportunity to confirm the support of regional countries to the political process in Iraq, to review the developments that took place in Iraq after the elections and to exchange views about the future developments.
