Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday that they have been examining the US human rights report. When journalists recalled that Turkey chapter of the report included expressions like ''human rights violations are still going on in Turkey'', and asked his comments, Tan said US State Department prepare report every year to contribute to studies of US Congress and to present information about UN member countries.
 

Tan said the report was for internal use. Stating that Turkey chapter of the report was prepared comprehensively as it had been last year, Tan said, ''we are examining the report. We will respond if necessary after making necessary evaluations.''
