According to Minister of Justice Cemil Çiçek, they have found the country where the Uzans are currently located. However, in a press conference Çiçek was unwilling to disclose the exact location of the Uzans, who have been wanted by the police for the past 18 months for bank fraud. |

Prime Minister Erdoğan invited to tea in Ethiopia
Prime Minister Erdoğan, who sets off on a trip to Africa today, has been invited to tea at the new villa of national athlete Elvan Abeylegesse in her native country of Ethiopia. Elvan Abeylegesse recently bought a three story villa in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa with the prize money that she won competing in Turkey. |

Six ships under SNMCMG-2 Command to visit Aksaz Port Six ships under the command of Standing NATO Response Force Mine Countermeasure Group-SNMCMG-2 will visit Aksaz port in Turkey between March 3rd and 9th, Turkish Naval Forces Command said on Tuesday. The Command stated that two ships from Italy, one each from Germany, Greece, Spain and Turkey would anchor at the Aksaz port during the mentioned days. |

Automotive exports boom in first two months of 2005
Turkey's automotive exports increased by 61 percent in the first two months of 2005 when compared with the same period of the previous year, and Turkey earned 2.4 billion USD from automotive exports in this mentioned period of 2005, according to the figures of Uludag Exports Unions (UIB). |

Airbaltic starts flights between Riga and Istanbul
Latvian airline company AirBaltic started non-stop flights between Latvian capital of Riga and Turkish commercial hub of Istanbul on Tuesday, Airep Airlines said. The Airep Airlines stated that AirBaltic would fly between Istanbul and Riga on Tuesday and Fridays this month, and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays as of April. |

Turkey comdemns suicide attack in Iraq
Turkey co ndemned on Tuesday the suicide attack staged in Iraqi city of Hillah yesterday (Monday), Turkish Foreign Ministry said. Recalling the statement of the UN Security Council released on February 16th, 2005 asking all groups in Iraq to facilitate the transition period in the country after January 30th elections and contribute to the democratic regime, the Ministry called on all Iraqi parties, leaders and groups to act with moderation. |

16th of International Ankara Film Festival to begin on March 3rd
The 16th International Ankara Film Festival will take place between March 3rd and 13th. 232 films will be projected during the festival. 40 films will also run for the national short films competition. The audience will watch 15 documentary films from Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Israel and the United States during the festival. |

World's largest tunnel on land
The last bedrock blocking a 26.5-kilometer railway tunnel under construction was blasted on Sunday in Aomori Prefecture in northeastern Japan, marking the birth of the world's longest tunnel on land. But the tunnel, for use by Tohoku Shinkansen bullet trains, will soon lose the title when a 34.6-kilometer tunnel in Switzerland is completed this spring. |
