The High Tribunal on Thursday recognized the right of the Finance Ministry and Public Works & Housing Ministry to intervene in the case of Koray Aydin, a former public works & housing minister accused of irregularities and abuse of power.Informing reporters about the interim decision made at the morning session, High Tribunal Chairman Mustafa Bumin said that this decision was made unanimously since the mentioned ministries could suffer some harms with the crimes attributed to Aydin.Then, lawyers of these two ministries joined today's hearing.

Aydin is accused of irregularities and abuse of power by  implementing wrong and illegal policies that caused the state to lose money.

The High Tribunal adjourned the hearing of Koray Aydin, a former public works & housing minister, till March 30th, 2005.

After today's hearing, High Tribunal Chairman Mustafa Bumin said that the hearings were adjourned till March 30th so that they could ask some authorities to present documents regarding the case. Former Public Works & Housing Minister Aydin can be imprisoned if convicted.

Upon the request of Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Prosecutor, the High Tribunal had put precautionary measure on Aydin's, his wife's and children's movables and immovables worth 2.3 million USD and 2.3  million DM.
