In spite of Al-Qaeda threats, the turnout of women was higher than men in the Iraqi election at the weekend. The turnout of women was an encouraging 55%. Women all over Iraq ignored the threats of Al-Qaeda connected Al Zarkavi, which had promised to turn the country into a blood bath, and went out to vote. |
