Basbug: Kikuk concerns
Second Chief of Staff General Ilker Basbug said that the situation in Kirkuk with the alteration of the demographic structure was concerning and involved also Turkey. At his monthly press conference, Basbug said that more Kurds than the ones left Kirkuk had returned to the city as reported by the press and the current situation here was concerning. |

PKK Parties in Ballots in Istanbul
Two political parties set up by PKK are also included in the ballots regarding the Iraqi elections. Iraqis are permitted to vote in 14 countries, including Turkey, other than their country, for the elections. The two PKK-originating parties, are also in the ballots of 11 parties which will be elected by the Iraqi voters. |
