TUSIAD Against Presidency System

TUSIAD maintained that the presidency system, the controversial subject of the recent days, was not suitable for Turkey. Ömer Sabancı, TUSIAD's President said "There is no successful example of this system except U.S. There is no superiority of this system to the parliamentary system; the current parliamentary system must be developed."

The agenda of the 35th general meeting of TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists and Businessman Association) was the period of negotiations with EU but also the subject of the recent days, the presidency system, was also discussed in the meeting and the opinion of TUSIAD were told as this system was not suitable for Turkey. Ömer Sabancı, The President of TUSIAD said "There is no superiority of this system to the parliamentary system."

Sabancı said that Turkey must continue the reforms on current system and move to untouched areas.
