Retired General Tuncer Kilinc, the former secretary General of the National Security Board had reportedly received 150 thousand dollars as a "Debt" from contractor Ali Osman Ozmen, who is standing trial for embezzlement in an army tender. Kilinc explained the story of the luxury 244-square meter home which is worth 230 thousand dollars.
He said "I could have borroweed that money from someone else. This could have been the person who owned the flat. There are tens of contractors like Ali Osman Bey, whom I know. I could have taken ten times more money." Kilinc had not repaid the 150 thousand dollars he borrowed to the contractor yet. Former General kilinc told Hurriyet that he bought the poch flat in Canaka which was worth 230 thousand dollars at 175 thousand dollars after bargaining with the firm. Kilinc denied that he had directly demanded money from the contractor, saying that "There are tens of contractors like Osman Bey whom I know.
