Minister of Finance Kemal Unakıtan said that the Eti Aluminum factory in Seydişehir district of Konya will be privatized. He said, "We will continue privatization until the government draws its hands off the economy, because we are the only country that had not done this."

Minister of Finance Kemal Unakıtan went to the Seydişehir district of Konya to make an investigation on the Eti Aluminium Factory which is in the extent of privatization, with deputies and Privatization High Council members.

Unakıtan had a briefing and walked in the factory which 2,823 people worked. He held a meeting closed to press with the representatives of civil society organizations about privatization. After the meeting Unakıtan said that the factory will be privatized in the first or second quarter of 2005.
