YTL is Ready to Use in 81 Provinces
PTT (Post-Telephone and Telegraph Organization) finished the distribution of YTL to Turkey. The distribution of coins which weighed 3,432 tones was done with 141 TIRs in Turkey. The banknote were distributed before and after the distribution of the coins to 81 provinces; Turkey is ready for YTL. |

Anatoly Kopulov, the Russian commander who crossed to the Turkish side coming from northern Iraq in November along with 4 PKK militants made interesting revelations about the arms and logistic support of the organization. Kaapilov said that he joined PKK in Moscow after working two years in the army and had stayed in PKK camps in Kandil for 5 years. |

Decrease in KDV
The decision of Council of Ministers is broadcast. The decision that P.M. Erdogan explained, is about the decrease of KDV from health, food and education for 10 points. The decision will be valid in January 1st 2005. A list of the groups of products that KDV decreased was in the report but an expectation about the hikes started. Big markets like Migros and Tansas stated that they will reflect the decrease on the prices. |

But this is not possible in this time. The second best is the presidential system. But the condition for that is a well-functioning legal system." |

Guven Arrested in Britain with Turkey Pressure Drug smuggler Nurettin Guven who was first detained then released in Britain, were arrested on the demand of Turkey and France. Guven has a 15-year prison sentence in Turkey and a 10-ear sentence in France for drug trafficking. The former Malatyaspor president talked to Hurriyet after he was arrested in April 1994 with Hakan Gonenç with a green passport and a silencer gun and was put in Wandsworth Prison but managed to get free. |
