P.M. Erdogan Saw Off Martyrs With Poem

Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan said that terror had no religion, race and homeland and saw the 5 martyrs killed in Iraq, saying that "You the Martyr, do not demand a grave from me. Here stands the Prophet, waiting to embrace you." Attending the ceremony in the Interior Ministry held for the five security guards killed last week in Iraq, Erdogan said that "Turkey which did all its can for the unity of Iraq, should not have paid the cost by giving about 80 martyrs." Erdogan said that Turkey applied to the coalition forces in Iraq to catch the aggressors. 
Army Commander Tolon: We Noted the Murders!

1st Army Commander General Hursit Tolon said that, “We regret that the murder of 5 Turks took place in a place which is under the control of a country which we define as being an ally and friendly. This is very regrettable. And we are noting it.” 
Sarkozy: If Turkey Were European

Nicolas Sarkozy who is set to be the next French President said that he wanted a special partnership, rather than membership should be given by EU to Turkey and “If Turkey were European, we would know that.” Speaking to the 2nd French Channel, Sarkozy said that he did not intend to isolate Turkey and he supported Chirac’s decision to launch membership talks with Turkey. 
Turkey, in the War Plan of U.S. Against Iran

Turkey is allegedly included in the U.S. simulation war plans with Iran, made in the Pentagon. The Atlantic Monthly magazine said that the war simulations of Pentagon , attended by the officials of the Defence Department, State Department, the National security Council of the White house and CIA, a three- phase war plane designed by U.S. against Iran, was taken up. 
IMF: We are proud of turkey
International Money Fund’s (IMF) foreign relations Director Thomas C. Dawson said that Turkey and Brazil succeeded in their economic programs and they were very happy working with and proud of these two countries. 
Central Bank states the money program today

Central Bank President Süreyya Serdengeçti will announce the monetary program of the year 2005 today. Serdengeçti, who will make his statement at 10.00, will meet the bankers in the evening. In the meeting, he will explain the 2005 money program to the bankers and reply their questions. 
Sect Foundations, the First Practice
Having received a negotiating date from EU, Turkey has silently transferred over the 296 immovable properties to the foundations of religious sects. Turkey also granted permission to these for the first time to accept pledges, buy and sell properties. The survey of Hurriyet showed that Turkey has materialized to a great extent, the demand of the European Union to register the properties of foundations into their name. 
TÜSIAD: a hıstorıcal perıod started
TÜSİAD (Turkish Industrialist and Businessmen Association), stated that, by having a negotiating date, Turkey will be in a historical period now. TUSIAD emphasized that with the 17 December 2004 meeting of EU, a period of historical importance, which required a good utilization, started for Turkey.
