The High Appeals Court upheld the life prison sentence given to a man for killing his sister for traditional reasons. Cahit Ince, 24, had killed her sister Cigdem, 16, when she got pregnant in an affair.

The family of the girl petitioned to the police, saying that the girl who was pregnant for 7 months disappeared in the Turgutlu town of Izmir. Investigation of the police showed that elder brother Cahit Ince killed the girl with a gun, by firing 7 bullets on her. The brother and father were sent to prison.
