Attorney Ceylan, who objected at the release of Cem Uzan by the Titli 9th penal court, appealed to the upper Istanbul Heavy Penal Court and requested a decision of arrest in absentia be released for Uzan on grounds of "Setting an organisation for crime", "hiding information and documents",
"Swindling public institutions" and "Counterfeiting on private document." The Istanbul Heavy Penal Court which reviewed the demand, rejected the attorney's objection because of "evidence conditions, constant residence and no probability to escape."
Cem Uzan was home arrested on Sunday night after an operation which started with the instruction of attorney Mecit Ceylan and was released after his interrogation in the court where he was sent with the demand of arrest, approximately after 28 hours on Tuesday at 02:00
