Barroso: It is the Time for Turkey
EU Commission President Barroso said that there cannot be a half way, a middle way and that it is the time to begin membership talks with Turkey. Stating that the target should be full membership, he said, intending Cyprus, that they expected Turkey to make new steps.

Green Light By Chirac: Turks Are Proud People

In a televised address before the Brussels summit, French President Jacques Chirac said, "Yes to Turks. Negotiations are in 22005." Addressing his people, Chirac said that the responsibility of isolating Turkey will be heavy and "We can not say No to them." He said "Turks are a proud people. They will never accept an option like special partnership." 
Term President: EU Will Say Yes, Cyprus Will Be Recognized

Meanwhile, Prime Minister of EU Term President Netherlands, Jan Peter Balkanende said that he expected from the summit to produce a decision to begin negotiations with Turkey. A Dutch official said that Turkey will recognize the Greek Cypriot section in an indirect manner, during the summit. 
Turkey In First 10

The Turkish economy entered into the first biggest ten economies of the European Union. Germany is at the top of its list with its national income of 2 trillion 3390 billion Dollars, to be followed by Britain with 1.8 billion dollars, and France. Turkey ranked 10th in the list with its income of 238.5 billion dollars.

Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun said that Italy will make an investment more than 3 billion dollars next year. Ali Coskun and Italian State Minister Adolfo Urso are in Gaziantep for three days too explore fields of commercial cooperation. The two ministers signed a "Good Intention Protocol to Follow and Encourage Investments and Trade Activities."
