Leyla is Photogenic
The architect of the Kurd Declaration Umit Firat got angry at Leyla Zana who withdrew her signature from the declaration and said that “Leyla is in the forefront because she is photogenic. If she were not a woman she would not be in this position!” 
Cem Uzan, Detained
Police detained Cem Uzan at 23.30 Sunday. Police teams had already launched an operation into 23 different points and detained ten people, in relation to the Imar Bank investigation. These ten people had reportedly accused Uzan in their depositions at police and prompted the detention of Cem Uzan. 
Gul : We Might Have Neglected U.S.

Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul told Hurriyet’s Sedat Ergin that “EU is inevitably our number-one item at the moment. For that reason we might have neglected our relations with the U.S.” Gul does not deny that there has been political strain in relations with U.S. That Ambassador Edelman could not receive an appointment from P.M. Erdogan for 6 weeks, that AKP deputy Elkatmis accused the American army of committing a genocide in Felluce and the protest of AKP deputies to Washington for calling the Patriarch Ecumenical, are among all these strains. 
Babacan and Moghadam to Conclude Stand-By Talks

“The markets are waiting for the time which the agreement of Turkey with IMF will be concluded. These expectancies will be bought and sold this week. The general expectancy in markets is that, Turkey will eventually get a negotiating date from EU on December 17 . Similarly, there is belief that a new agreement will be made with IMF even tohugh with a delay. 
Kurd Rally in Diyarbakir: EU Can not Use Us !
Kurds in Diyarbakir held a rally named “Yes to differences, no to separation.” The rally supported by NGOs called on the European Union to solve the Kurdish problem. DEHAP’S Chairman Tuncer Bakirhan addressed 50 thousand people in the rally and said that, they have issued a declaration listing the demands of Kurds but Prime Minister Erdogan had behaved as if these demands have not so far been voiced.
