Lower Tax Return for the Highly-Paid
The tax return rates of employees have changed this year. The minimum-wage earner will get a return of 260 million TL but those earning more than 500 million TL will get lesser tax returns. In the previous practice, the tax return of those who pay higher income taxes, had been higher. The new practice is benefiting the lower paid employees. The rate of tax return to be paid to those earning more than 1 billion 500 million TL is falling below 5 % with the new practice. |

GUL: No recognition without solution
Foreign Minister Gul said that without a solution in Cyprus the recognition of Greek Cypriot Administration could not be possible. During his visit to Slovenia, FM Gul at a press conference that, the policy of Turkey towards Cyprus was clear. Law suit from felicity part to government
Former Leader of Felicity Party, Necmettin Erbakan, filed a law suit against the government about its Iraq policy. Erbakan launched his law suit against the government to the Council of State. He demanded the cancellation of the written notice given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the usage of 7 seaports and 6 airports, which he claimed to be used by U.S. for the transportation of weapons to Iraq. |

1,6 million people will find jobs
The Pre-Accession Economic Program (KEP) which Turkey will carry out in the term between 2005-2007 was announced by three ministers. According to the programme during 3 the years, 15 billion dollars of external capital will come to Turkey and around 1.6 million people will be employed. |
