After the exhaustion of the internal legal channels, friends of Bayram Kuzu, who became famous with his Hopdediks nickname, applied to ECHR 6 years ago and won the compensation case.
Hopdediks Bayram who died 4 years ago could not see the success of his friends but took his part as a symbol in the success against searching gold using cyanide.
According to the 41st article of the European Human Rights Agreement, ECHR concluded that 3 thousand Euro of compensation must be paid to the applicants. The same verdict is expected to be given for the other 551 applicants who applied for the same reason to ECHR.
