Victory Of Bush And Questions Tufan Turenc

Tufan Turenc

Because Bush shifted the terror menace which blow up in U.S. on September eleven, to the countries which are very far away from U.S., he received a big vote from the voters. With the fear spread to their hearts, Americans regarded Bush as the leader protecting them against the terror menace.

...However, both in America and in the world, numerous people were expecting the pro-brutality policy to collapse. But conservative Americans voted for Bush. Let us see whether the victory he won will make Bush and the falcons inclined towards using more force or will make them act with common sense...

As from the angle of Turkey, the situation is very clear. If Kerry were elected, the Turkey policy of U.S. would not overall change. However Kerry's policies towards the Armenian issue and Cyprus were unclear. Therefore the re-election of Bush is good for Turkey for the short term.

But in the long term, the forceful policies of Bush will certainly damage Turkey.

Iraq which America will have to leave and which is in a chaos will be a source of trouble for Turkey and the region.

Whatever we say, the world has to live a Bush period for another 4 years.
Then I pose this question: "Would Bush win such a victory, if the candidate of Democrats was Hillary Clinton instead of Kerry?
