Istanbul Organized Crimes Department Directorate Ayhan Buran informed that Sedat Peker and his friends were detained on the ground that they were members of armed crime organizations having an interest purpose.

At the statement he made at the campus of Istanbul Security Directorate on Vatan Street in respect of the operation towards Sedat Peker and his gang, Buran said that the project study launched with the Eurasia code under the organization of Security General Directorate Combat with Smuggling and Organized Crimes Department Presidency was transformed to the operation under the name of "Butterfly" by Istanbul Organized Crimes Department Directorate.
