According to Turkomans, the Kurdish flag which was hoisted to the Telafer citadel, was pulled down by U.S. soldiers and the Turkish special team.
Turkoman Front’s Telafer officer Dr. Abdullah said that “When Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul made a strong demarche, we found ourselves safe, and returned home. Otherwise, America would not end its operation.”
Turkomans named one of their main boulevards in the city after Abdullah Gul. His name is given to the new born ones now.
Another boulevard will be named after PM Tayyip Erdogan.
At least 66 people were killed and 230 people deserted the Telafer city at the siege of U.S. et the beginning of this month, on grounds that insurgents were hiding in the city. During the siege, FM Gul had made a strong warning to U.S. which had then ended its 15-day bombardment.
