At the rally supported by many environmentalists as well as Istanbul Deputy Mayor Idris Gulluce, Beykoz Mayor Muharrem Ergul, Chairman of Association of Peace with Nature Yuksel Ustun, hundreds of vessels met at Pasabahce Bay and carried banners in Turkish and English writing "We want Security Before Disaster" and "Turkish Straits Are Not Black Sea Oil Pie Line."
They later came to Ortakoy. At the declaration, it was recalled that over 700 accidents had occurred in last 50 years at Turkish Straits and the daily headlines of the period were displayed. The rally was supported with the claps from both sides of the Bosphorus.
