The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) decided that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) be represented under the name of “the Turkish Cypriot State” at OIC, as it was foreseen in the Annan Plan.

TRNC had joined the OIC meetings under the name of “Cypriot Moslem Community”, beforehand. Now, it will join the next meetings as a state; however, there is no change in the status of TRNC at OIC as an observer country.
