Blast in Baghdad: 35 Deaths
35 people were killed and 119 were wounded in a blast in front of the troops recruitment center in Baghdad. A bomb-loaded vehicle exploded this morning in front of the center. 47 Iraqis had been killed in a similar blast on February 11, in the same place. 
TRNC was a Community, Becomes a State
The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) decided that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) be represented under the name of “the Turkish Cypriot State” at OIC, as it was foreseen in the Annan Plan. 
Customs Union Letter From Gul

Upon the demand of the European Union (EU) to include Greek Cyprus into the Customs Union, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul wrote a letter to the EU Commissioner Gunter Verheugen saying; “We will take measures which consider the new members of the EU.” 
TSK is not Deterred By Terror
1st Army Commander General Yasar Buyukanit said that there were terrorists in mountains and that that terror was launched by these because of the suitable atmosphere; “However the army will give necessary response,” he said. 
IMF: Our Cooperation Continues Whatever The Model Is
The IMF delegation which met Refik Baydur, the Chairman of TISK (Turkish Employers’ Syndicate) said that cooperation was to continue under every model. Baydur complained about the high increase in minimum wages and demanded a reduction in tax and insurance premiums. 
Unakitan: Tupras Issue Was Exaggerated
Finance Minister Kemal Unakıtan said that the claims over the sale of Tupras (Turkish Petroleum Refineries) were exaggerated. He pointed out that Turkey should succeed in privatization, as in other economic indicators. 
Reaction To Erdogan From Israel
The Israeli Foreign Ministry responded harshly, with a written statement, to the statements of P.M. Recep Tayyip Erdogan who said; “What Israel does, reinforces Anti-Semitism in world. Those who opposed to terror can not treat terror as the part of the fight.”
