Baykal said; “Our friends keep accusing CHP (Republican People’s Party) failing and its administration with harsh claims. This is unacceptable. Those who do not talk at the legal organs of CHP, talk to TVs.”
He said that to gather the congress occasionally was wrong; however this time an obligation occurred.
One of the opponents, Alaattin Yuksel, the Izmir Province administratior of CHP said; “Our objective is not to ruin the party; but have CHP become the party of power. Baykal should consider work which includes an amendment in the regulations without hurting anyone.”
Semra Aksakal, CHP’s Member of Party Assembly, said; “Baykal should not remain as CHP's leader leader.”
