Upon the statement of P.M. Recep Tayyip Erdogan as “The companies came to an agreement on the Tekel (State monopolies) tender”, Finance Minister Kemal Unakıtan said; “He should have mentioned something different. This is out of question. The companies which offered for the Tekel tender, are prestigious.”

Unakıtan said that the privatization tenders which were awarded from the beginning of this year were worth 2.3 billion dollars and the institutions of which the transfers were completed were worth 711 million dollars. There are 468 million dollars of 711 in the safe.
