Erdogan talked about a range of issues relating to economy, his visit to Greece and the YOK motion. Pointing out that there were some arguments on the motion, he said that the high education motion was not a recent issue, but was on the agenda of Turkey for more than 20 years.
He said "On the issue of adjusting the education system to suit the needs of the era, a full-scale work was carried out. The government has carried out big efforts for 17 months. I am telling my people; things written and said on this issue are not true. We did not squeeze this into short time. This was in our government program and is a promise.
"Governments come to power to solve problems! Social consensus is not between institutions but the one of the people who authorized you to rule. Thus, we came to power within this power.
