De Soto: 2000 Flags and 200 Marches Are Ready

The Cyprus Envoy of U.N. Secretary General Alvaro de Soto said that: We agreed with the two leaders on holding a content for the flag and march of Cyprus. Speaking to Mehmet Ali Birand of CNNTURK Channel, Soto said that: If the two sides fail to reach an agreement, Secretary General Kofi Annan will have to make a decision.

He said that some of the marches for united Cyprus were prepared in both Turkish and Greek languages.

Will Denktas Leave ?
Some sources in Washington claim that Turkish Cypriot President Rauf Denktas will leave the negotiating table on March 22.

If a settlement fails in talks that will begin in Lefkose on 19 February, Ankara and Athens will intervene into the process as guarantor sides. If this initiative fails, Kofi Annan will fill in the gaps on 29 February.
