There are six parliamentary commissions set up to handle cases brought to remove deputy immunities. When the Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputies in the first commission decided to postpone tackling 19 files of 10 deputies to the end of the term, Republican People's Party (CHP) deputies objected. However, as AKP members outnumbered CHP members in the commission, the cases were postponed. The files in question belong to Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu, DYP Chairman Mehmet Agar, Akif Gulle, Mahfuz Guler, Ali Sezal, Osman Aslan, AKP Deputy Chairman Dengir Mir Mehmet Firat, Asim Aykan, and Sefa Sirmen.
