American Wall Street Journal daily wrote that U.S. wanted to deploy Turkish troops in the most dangerous section of Iraq, which was the north of Baghdad, however Turkey had not accepted this demand yet.

According to the daily, the plan of U.S. is as follows: Turkish troops should not be sent to the section, where there is an intense Kurdish population. The 101st Air Brigade, which is in Northern Iraq currently, will be withdrawn at the beginning of 2004. The 82nd brigade, which is in the west of Baghdad for the moment, can be shifted in the place of the 101st. And Turkish troops can replace these.
