While the process of decision-making to send troops to Iraq is still under way, Turkey is trying to win the hearts of the Iraqi people. The Foreign Ministry took the first steps to treat those Iraqi patients, whose diseases cannot be treated in Iraq, in the hospitals in Ankara and Istanbul.

15 Iraqi citizens, including 11 children between the ages  2 and 15, were flown to Ankara on board an ambulance plane of the General Staff, within this framework. The government will meet the expenses of the patients, who will be treated in GATA military hospital.
