At his deposition, Yilmaz recalled that he had been cleared several times by parliamentary commissions which probed into his alleged irergularities in the past.
He said, "I am at Parliament for 20 years but did not get rich because of my salary as a deputy. I am rich because of my father and wife. My father had a mall with 250 tenants. My wife has profiting companies."
At a press conference after his deposition, Yilmaz said that politicians were trying politicians at the moment and the right thing to do was to, remove the immunities of deputies from prosecution.
