At a press conference one day after the action, Guler said that the companies had acted against the preferential contract made with them and caused a monopolization in the market, preventing the activities of other companies.
Guler went on to say that a notary-certified warning has been made in February to the companies, which, in return did not obey the warnings and that was why the companies were confiscated. The company also had failed to pay the electric rates payable under their own tariff, to the state for teh electric which they failed to generate , but bought from the state.
Guler stressed that the confiscated properties belonged to the public.
