“Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said in his speech at the meeting of Islamic countries that it was necessary to act within reason, to remove ignorance and unlawful action and to place importance on sexual equality. But, he does not enter the actual issue, which is the center of all these advises and demands. He can not say that, “You can neither practice democracy nor provide the equality of man and woman, unless you take religious rules outside public life (and adopt secularism)”.
