The objections to the package continued in the meeting and it was decided to take up the package in the next meeting of MGK, which will convene with the special agenda of EU. The package would be taken up in the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, but the meeting was canceled after this decision. Therefore, the placement of the package in the agenda of Parliament will be delayed for a month.
According to the communiqué issued after the MGK meeting, the agenda included security reports, recent developments in Cyprus and Iraq, Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP), the project for the development of the historical national park in Gelibolu Peninsula and the removal of mines in the Turkish-Syrian border.
