Flight recorders of crashed airplane found

Spanish Defense Minister Federico Trillo and Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul made inspections in the Pilav Mountain, where 74 people lost their lives in an airplane crash.

Gonul said that the bodies of Spanish soldiers would be identified on Tuesday and sent to Spain with a ceremony on Wednesday. The flight recorders of the airplane were found and DNA tests will be carried out for the identification of bodies. Military experts said that the main responsible for the crash was the pilot.

The Ukrainian airplane, which crashed as it was carrying Spanish Peacekeeping Forces from Afghanistan to Spain, was reportedly leased by NATO. Spanish people reacted at the crash asking why the Spanish soldiers were not carried by a Spanish airplane. Spain declared 3-day mourning after the crash and victory festivals to be celebrated next week were canceled.
