In the meeting organized by the Canadian Trade Delegation in Istanbul, Knutson said that he believed the new government would bring trust to markets and that Turkey was a very good partner to make investments in Middle East, Central Asia and Balkans. Knutson said that Canada was the 14th country making highest amount of investments in Turkey and this amount was 400 million dollars at the moment.
Canadian Ambassador Michael Leir, Canadian-Turkish Business Council President Richard Ross, Turco-Canadian Business Council President Yilmaz Arguden, Canadian Exports Development Director Luc Dupont and many representatives from Turkish and Canadian firms were present in the meeting.
