40-year-long Taboo is Removed: Greek Cypriots welcomed in Turkey
Turkey started receiving Greek Cypriots for the first time since 1963, with Cyprus Republic passports. The first group arrived in Turkey from the Norh-West Ipsala gate. A 300-strong group arrived in 6 busses to visit the historical sites and Greek Patriarchate in Istanbul. 
Gas tube explosion: 6 wounded

Six people were wounded when a tube exploded in a restaurant in Harbiye, Istanbul. The Elmas Bufe Restaurant , on the entrance floor of a 8-storey building, was shaken by a strong blast at 10.30 
Distressing evidence
The Greek pilot, who downed a Turkish F-16 to the Aegean Sea 7 years ago, drew the picture of the Turkish flag on the nose of his Mirage 2000 airplane. Captain Nail Erdogan was killed in the crash of F-16, which was shot by the Greek airplane in 1996. 
Permission to Kurdish names
The 6th harmonization Package, which will be taken up by the Cabinet on Thursday and will be forwarded to Parliament, will allow the usage of Kurdish names with an arrangement in the Population Law. Election propaganda in other languages than Turkish and broadcast in mother’s tongue in private radio and TV-channels will also be allowed. 
Knutson: the role of Turkey increases in the world
Gar Knutson, the Canadian Secretary responsible of Central and Eastern Europe and Middle East, said that he believed Turkey’s future was brilliant because Turkey was an important country in strategic and political terms as well as her economy and internal potential. 
Illegal shipyards to be pardoned too
The government will also include the illegal shipyards in the Tuzla region of Istanbul by adding an article to the arrangements opening SIT fields to public improvement.  
Bingol landing from journalists
Hurriyet daily’s columnists Oktay Eksi, Tufan Turenc, Yalcin Bayer and Pakize Suda visited Bingol together with representatives from universities in the framework of the campaign launched by the newspaper to reinforce school buildings against a likely earthquake. Citizens wanted their city to be declared as a “disaster area”.

CHP Istanbul Deputy Kemal Dervis said that they could increase the vote rate of CHP from 20% to 45% by attracting every type of leftist views under the party, embracing the electorate from mainstream to left, addressing to the feelings of the society and claiming the traditions. 
Big Looting: Public improvement permission to SIT field
The government will allow construction of buildings in SIT areas at a ratio of 6% in the framework of the motion it prepared to provide new sources for the state. Once the law is brought into force, constructions will be possible on natural SIT areas under protection like Oludeniz and Gelibolu, even if at low density. 
Bomb at the center of Kizilay, 100 meters away from the Prime Ministry
A woman was killed in an explosion at a café at the center of Kizilay in Ankara, just 100 meters away from the Prime Ministry, at 9.00 O’clock on Tuesday. Police said that she was DHKP-C member Sengul Akkurt, who was planning a bomb-raid in a crowded area but she exploded the bomb by mistake at the bathroom of the café as she was balancing the mechanism of the bomb. 
Turkey is disturbed about Israeli defense companies
Turkey is allegedly disturbed about the defense tenders she gave to Israeli firms. According to the news of the Defence News magazine, the Israeli IAI firm has been continuously increasing the price in the 700-million-dollar project for the modernization of 54 F-4 warplanes.
