The Islamic press, which has been dubbing the Bilderberg meetings as "Zionist and Masonic" for years, changed its attitude after AKP sent State Minister Ali Babacan to the meeting held in Paris this year.

Yeni Safak’s columnist Fehmi Koru, who has been claiming that these meetings were directing the developments in the whole world, now changed his manner and said that, “If I had been invited, I would have also joined this meeting, but I could not keep the issues taken up inside secret. The main character of this meeting is not based on Zionism. The participation of Babacan is a political risk for himself, but if he discloses the issues taken up in the meeting to Parliament and inform the government, maybe this can be a guide for us.”
