The Cross-Frontier Journalists (RSF) Organization, which had laid down a picture of former Chief of Staff Gen. Huseyin Kivrikoglu on the floor of a train station in Paris and caused a diplomatic crisis between Turkey and France, now included the name of Chief of Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok in a list of “enemies of the press”, which they announced at a press conference held for the Freedom of Press Day.

The organization administrators were encouraged after they won the suit, which was brought by Gen. Kivrikoglu after his retirement from the post. A report entitled “Freedom of Press in the World” that was distributed in the press conference mentioned the jailed journalists in Turkey and the sentences given by the Radio-TV Higher Board (RTUK) to TV-stations.
