According to the data of the State Statistics Institute (DIE), the consumer and wholesale prices have increased by 2.1% and 1.8% respectively in April, which were the same figures emerged in the same month of the preceding year.
The annual inflation in April became 29.5% in terms of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increasing by 0.1% over March, while the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) became 35.1%, decreasing by 0.1% when compared to March.
The core inflation, which is the increase in prices of the private sector production industry, emerged as 0.7% in April, while the prices in the public sector production industry have decreased by 0.9%.
