Police detained about 30 students clashing at the Yildiz Technical University. Additional police teams were sent to the campus when the fight that started at 9.30 between opposition groups, grew.

Students attacked each other with stones, fists and sticks. The students continued their fight on the streets after being prevented in the campus.  The fight was between the students of the Kemalist Thought Clubs' Federation and the group opposing them.
